The results of the 2026 Green China Packaging Awards, hosted by Newmeishi Packaging Platform, have been officially announced.

Drawing on profound technological expertise in packaging lightweighting, functional innovation and recycling, Chengde Technology stood out from competitors and was awarded three Packaging Design Innovation Awards.

This honour is strong recognition of Chengde’s R&D strength and innovative design, marking another key milestone in our journey toward low-carbon and sustainable development.

The Green China Packaging Awards is an authoritative and highly influential green award within China’s packaging industry. The award ceremony will be held on September 16 at Tongli Lake Resort in Suzhou, where Chengde Technology will join industry elites to celebrate this achievement.

The four awarded products effectively address core industry pain points and fully embody the green packaging principles of Reduce and Reuse. Let us explore the innovative strengths of these four “green-tech” packaging solutions:

01 Awarded Work 1: Rainbow Laser Bag

Innovation Highlight: Direct printing without lamination, balancing aesthetics and carbon reduction.

Industry Pain Point: Conventional holographic packaging relies heavily on PET laser film lamination, leading to excessive material consumption, high energy consumption and substantial exhaust emissions during production.

Green Breakthrough: Chengde developed a direct-printing solution with rainbow optical ink, eliminating the need for PET laser film and laminating adhesives. Direct printing on a single substrate delivers the same vivid 3D holographic visual effect, while removing complicated processes including lamination and high-temperature curing.

Sustainability Value: It drastically cuts plastic consumption, production power usage and organic waste gas emissions at the source, achieving dual reduction of raw materials and carbon footprint. The design perfectly balances attractive appearance and low-carbon goals.

02 Awarded Work 2: Angled Zipper Pouch

Innovation Highlight: Dead-spot-free material guiding to extend packaging circular lifecycle.

Industry Pain Point: Ordinary pouches tend to trap powder at corners during pouring. Spout pouches are costly and hard to recycle, while conventional horizontal zipper pouches suffer poor discharging performance.

Green Breakthrough: We redesigned the traditional horizontal zipper layout and independently developed an integrated angled sealing & guiding structure. No spout is required for precise directional discharging, preventing powder spillage and residual material waste.

Sustainability Value: The pouch features excellent tear resistance and reclosable zippers. Once the original contents are consumed, the pouch can be reused for storing dry grains, hardware parts and more, replacing disposable storage bags, extending product service life and lowering packaging waste.

03 Awarded Work 3: 121°C Retort Semi-window Medical Aluminium Foil Pouch

Innovation Highlight: Lightweight eco-design for extreme high-temperature conditions.

Industry Pain Point: To meet the low-carbon requirement of packaging lightweighting, the industry faces dual challenges: heavy aluminium consumption for retort packaging and lack of visibility to inspect contents.

Green Breakthrough: This semi-window structure is engineered for rigorous 121°C high-temperature sterilization environments. We narrow the aluminium foil width to create a transparent viewing area, combined with high-barrier clear film.

Sustainability Value: Following the Reduce principle, it reduces consumption of aluminium and plastic substrates from the start. While delivering reliable long-term protection for pharmaceutical, daily chemical and pet retort products, it significantly cuts resource consumption and environmental impact, balancing practical industrial performance and long-term low-carbon development.
